Along with the release of the Toaster Oven in Cafe World comes a series of six missions, that will introduce you to the appliance, as well as a series of new recipes that are only able to cook in the Toaster Oven. These missions are appropriately named Toaster Oven I, II and so on, and are actually some of the most complex goals we've seen in the game to date. This isn't due to the fact that any one particular mission is incredibly difficult, but due to the fact that during these six goals, you will actually unlock two branching trios of missions, that must be completed before you can head back to the Toaster Oven goals.
I know it sounds confusing, but the best way to explain it would be to simply jump in. That being the case, Toaster Oven I asks you to simply place the Toaster Oven in your cafe, which is as good of a place as any to start.
Place your Toaster Oven
Cook 3 Home Style Pot Roast
Earn 1000 coins
This is luckily a case where all you have to do is cook the Home Style Pot Roast, rather than actually waiting for it to cook, which would take a full two days. Once you complete this mission, you'll receive 3,000 coins, 300 Cafe Points, and a Fresh Fruits and Veggies decorative item, which can be found on the 3rd page of Decor in the store.
Toaster Oven II has you completing your Toaster Oven, along with cooking even more Pot Roasts (yes, just cooking - not serving).
Complete your Toaster Oven
Place Bread Rack in Cafe
Cook 5 Home Style Pot Roast
For complete details on how to finish the Toaster Oven in your Cafe, check out our guide. Meanwhile, the Bread Rack is available to purchase by simply clicking on the "Buy It" button which opens the appropriate page in the store. You can purchase the decorative item for 25,000 coins. Finishing this second quest unlocks a new recipe in your cookbook - the Toaster Pastries. You can cook the Toaster Pastries for 1,000 coins, and they will be ready in 30 minutes. You'll have 25 servings to sell for 55 coins each, for a return of 1375 coins in total.
Toaster Oven III sees you putting this new recipe to work, along with actually serving another dish.
Serve 10 Breakfast Sandwiches
Serve 5 Toaster Pastries
Get 5 Jars of Jam
You'll earn the Jars of Jam by clicking on the "Ask" button and sending out requests to your friends to help you. While you're waiting you can cook not only the Toaster Pastries, but also the Breakfast Sandwiches, which take just 3 minutes to cook, but can also only be prepared in the Toaster Oven. They cost 150 coins to cook, and will offer you 10 servings which can be sold for 25 coins each, giving you a return of 250 coins in total. Finishing this quest rewards you with 4,000 coins and 400 Cafe Points.
Toaster Oven IV is the last mission before things become a bit complicated. To finish this mission, you'll need to complete three fairly simple steps.
Cook 6 Toaster Pastries
Place a Lucky Tangerine Tree in your Cafe
Spice 3 Neighbors' Stoves
The Lucky Tangerine Tree is available to purchase for 8,000 coins. You'll need to scroll past all of the new items, into the older decorations to find this one, as they are listed by price. Finishing this quest rewards you with 5,000 coins, 500 Cafe Points, and a "Busy City Setting Window," which is a decorative item that can be found in the Windows section of the store, not the decorative tab.
Here's where things become complicated (you can't say I didn't warn you), but Di's Mingle Network has the info to help clear up any confusion. To complete Toaster Oven V, you'll need to complete three steps:
Serve 8 Bruschettas
Serve 10 Caramel Apples
Get 8 Loaves of Bread
While asking your friends for the bread and serving 10 Caramel Apples (a two hour dish) is fairly self-explanatory, if you try to cook Bruschettas, you'll realize that the dish has yet to be unlocked on your account. This triggers the first of two side-quests that you'll need to complete. Here are the details for unlocking Bruschetta. We've indented them on the page to keep them separate, and you must complete all three tasks to unlock Bruschetta, and then head back to the Toaster Oven quests proper.
Bruschetta I:
Get 5 Tomatoes (ask friends)
Get 5 Cloves of Garlic (ask friends)
Place your Toaster Oven
Rewards: 5,000 coins & 1000 Cafe Points
Bruschetta II:
Get 8 Pieces of Mozzarella (ask friends)
Get 6 Loaves of Bread (ask friends)
Serve 6 Belgian Waffles (a two hour dish)
Rewards: 5,000 coins & 1000 Cafe Points
Bruschetta III:
Serve 10 Breakfast Sandwiches
Serve 10 Pumpkin Pie (a 12-hour dish)
Get 15 Pieces of Mozzarella
Reward: Bruschetta recipe
Once you've unlocked Bruschetta, you'll be able to cook the dish for just 240 coins. It is ready to serve in 5 minutes, and you'll have 10 servings to sell for 35 coins each. This gives you a return of 350 coins total. Once you've unlocked Bruschetta and have completed Toaster Oven V, you'll receive 3,000 coins, 300 Cafe Points, and the Kitchy Tableware decorative item, which is found in the Windows section of the store.
For Toaster Oven VI, the final mission in the current lineup of Toaster Oven quests, you'll need to cook another locked dish, unlocking another trio of side-quests.
Serve 12 Eggplant Sandwiches
Get 15 Eggplants
Get 10 Tomatoes
You'll be able to ask your friends to send you both the Eggplants and Tomatoes, but as the Eggplant Sandwich recipe is locked to you, you'll need to unlock it by completing the following three quests:
Eggplant Sandwich I:
Get 5 Eggplants (ask friends)
Earn 10,000 coins
Get 8 Iceburg Lettuces (ask friends)
Reward: Kitchy Cutting Countertop (decorative item)
Eggplant Sandwich II:
Get 8 Loaves of Bread (ask friends)
Serve 10 Clubhouse Sandwich (an 18-hour dish)
Get 6 Cucumbers (ask friends)
Reward: 5,000 coins & 1000 Cafe Points
Eggplant Sandwich III:
Get 12 Baby Spinach (ask friends)
Get 6 Tomatoes (ask friends)
Spice 5 Neighbors' Stoves
Reward: Eggplant Sandwich recipe
Once you've completed these three quests, you will have unlocked the Eggplant Sandwich recipe proper, which can be cooked for progress back in Toaster Oven VI. Once you can collect the Eggplants and Tomatoes in that job, along with cooking the Eggplant Sandwiches, you'll receive your final reward for this quest set - a Red Rush Lightning Stove. Remember, these Lightning Stoves not only cook food in one-click, but they also cook food faster, so it's great to have more than one on hand at once.
Like I said, these quests are complicated, and definitely won't be easy to complete (unless you have a never-ending supply of Cafe Cash with which to skip steps by unlocking them). However, with a bit of determination and patience, you should be able to receive the awesome prize at the end, and will have unlocked a series of new recipes that you can't find anywhere else. Whether or not you tackle these quests now or later, however, will be up to you.
What do you think of these Toaster Oven goals? Are they too complicated to be enjoyable, or do you like a good challenge?

Cafe World Mother's Day Goals 6-8: Everything you need to know
Last week, Zynga released a Mother's Day goal series in Cafe World, but there came with it a bit of a catch. We always knew that the mission series would have eight separate goals, but at the time of its release, it only contained five of those eight. Now, a few days later, the final three missions have been released, but they're definitely not any easier than those we've seen in the past. In fact, they might take you quite a bit of time to complete.
Mother's Day 6 puts you to work asking your friends for items, along with serving a dish that you unlocked back in the first five portions of this goal set.
Ask for 7 Pastry Dishes
Ask for 5 Fancy Glasses
Serve X's and O's Cookies 24 Times
The X's and O's Cookies are earned by completing goal five of the original Mother's Day set. They luckily take just 30 minutes to cook. Finishing this goal gives you a Mother and Child decoration, that has a mother figure hugging her son.
Mother's Day 7 will rely most on your friends to help you. Hopefully you've got a lot of patient neighbors.
Get 12 Hugs and Kisses
Ask for 10 Red Ribbons
Serve Breakfast in Bed 30 Times
The Breakfast in Bed dish is another that you'll unlock by completing the Mother's Day goals, and it takes 12 hours to cook after preparing it for 1500 coins. That gives you plenty of time to ask your friends for the Hugs and Kisses and Red Ribbons, which likely won't be a quick process.
Finally, we've reached the current end of the Mother's Day Goal series, as Mother's Day 8 asks you cook some themed dishes and collect even more Hugs and Kisses.
Get 16 Hugs and Kisses
Serve Mother's Day Feast 20 Times
Serve X's and O's Cookies 30 Times
The Mother's Day Feast takes just one hour to cook, so you shouldn't have too much difficulty finishing this one off. It's time consuming, yes, but definitely not impossible. For finishing this final mission, you'll receive the World's Greatest Mom Trophy. To me, this seems more like a gift that should be available to send between players, since I'm not a mother and don't really need one of these trophies, but I suppose I can't really complain with the new dishes I've unlocked in the process of getting here.
Regardless, you now have plenty of things to work on in your game, with the inclusion of the Breakfast Express goals as well. If we know Zynga like we think we do, however, you likely won't have very much time to clear off your plate before other goals are released, so get to work fast if you won't want to become overwhelmed!
Had you already completed the first five Mother's Day goals, or will it be a while before you can move onto Parts 6-8

Cafe World Kid's Night Goals: Everything you need to know
While you still have four days to finish the Fall Feast feature in Cafe World, if you've already moved past all that, you can now move onto a goal series that's perfect for the kiddies. Kid's Night is an eight part goal series that contains the same basic principles of all goal sets: you'll need to cook a lot of dishes (in this case some random dishes) and ask your friends to send you a lot of items, but in this case, they're all themed towards children. Here's a guide to completing these eight goals.
As a reminder, this goal series contains some random dishes, so there's unfortunately no way to predict which dishes each and every user will have to cook. Just keep in mind that if you finish all eight goals, your overall cooking time should be incredibly similar to that of other players.
Kid's Night
Ask for 6 Kid's Menus
Serve Macaroni and Cheese 35 Times
Serve 40 Dishes
Remember, any of these "ask for" tasks have you asking your friends to send you items, while the dishes tasks simply require you to cook those dishes before moving on. You can spice them if you'd like to reduce or even eliminate their cooking times entirely, or you can wait for your dishes to cook the old-fashion way. There doesn't look to be a time limit for when you'll need to complete these goals, so feel free to not rush.
Smash Hit
Ask for 10 Balloons
Ask for 6 Crayon Boxes
Serve 40 Dishes
Your reward for this goal is a new recipe: Hotdog Mac and Cheese. That sounds like something a kid would eat, right? Heck, I think I'd eat it too!
Oldie But Goodie
Ask for 6 Cheese Wheels
Master Hotdog Mac and Cheese through Level 1
Serve 50 Dishes
Dino-Mite
Ask for 6 Dinosaur Shaped Cutters
Serve 45 Dishes
Ask for 10 Chicken Breasts
If the ingredients didn't give it away, you'll receive a fun new recipe for completing this one: the Dino Chicken Nuggets.
Ant Invasion
Ask for 10 Stalks of Celery
Master Dino Chicken Nuggets through Level 1
Master Hotdog Mac and Cheese through Level 2
Your reward for this goal is a healthy snack for the kids: Ants on a Log (don't worry - it's just raisins and peanut butter on top of celery).
Almost Showtime
Ask for 7 Coloring Books
Master Ants on a Log through Level 1
Ask for 12 Kid Plates
Kids Eat Free
Master Dino Chicken Nuggets through Level 2
Ask for 12 Streamers
Master Ants on a Log to Level 2
The Kid's Win!
Ask for 6 Boxes of Macaroni
Ask for 13 Chocolate Bars
Earn 500,000 coins
By this point, you've reached the end of the Kid's Night goal series, and will receive one more recipe for your trouble: Chocolate Pudding. If you're wondering what Macaroni has to do with pudding, we're told in the story that after dessert, the kids will take part in making some macaroni art. How fun!
Again, there doesn't appear to be a time limit on these goals, so feel free to work on other things (perhaps a catering order that you're being timed on).

Cafe World 2 Year Anniversary Manny's Journey Goals: Everything you need to know
After spending a few days in Great Britain, the Cafe World two-year anniversary extravaganza has moved onto the Philippines, where we'll meet Master Chef Manny in a new set of goals called "Manny's Journey." Through these goals, we'll be introduced to four new dishes, but of course, they won't simply be handed to you. You'll need to finish the Manny's Journey goals multiple times in order to unlock all of the prizes, which include a 50% Lightning Stove (that would reduce the time it takes your dishes to cook by 50%). Here's a complete guide to these new goals.
As a note, we weren't told by Zynga whether or not these goals contain the same dishes for all users across the entire game, or if they vary as in past goal sets. If you notice any differences in your own game, this will likely be the cause.
Manny's Journey 1
* Ask for 3 Old Filipino Recipe Cards
* Place the Roasting Pit
* Serve 20 Fish n Chips
You'll start this goal series out serving Fish n Chips which takes two hours to prepare. You can wait for those to cook while asking your friends to send you the Old Filipino Recipe Cards, and can finish off this goal by placing the base to your new Roasting Pit. Yes, there's a building project to go along with these goals, and we'll bring you a guide to building the Roasting Pit as soon as we can you can check out our guide to building the Roasting Pit right here. Finishing this first goal gives you 15 Travel Passes. As a reminder, these Travel Passes work as contest entries of sorts, giving you a chance to win in-game prizes, along with real world trips to exotic locations.
Manny's Journey 2
* Ask for 6 Filipino Postcards
* Spice 6 Neighbors Dishes
* Serve 20 Gnocchi Gianna
The Gnocchi Gianna takes six hours to prepare, and is unlocked while completing the Pasta Maker goals. For finishing this goal, you'll receive 20 Travel Passes.
Manny's Journey 3
* Ask for 10 New Filipino Recipe Cards
* Collect 4 Anniversary Collection items
* Serve 30 Broiled Rainbow Trout
Anniversary Collection items are earned by using spices on your dishes, while Broiled Rainbow Trout takes 12 hours to cook (at the very least, this gives you plenty of time to collect spices if you don't earn the four Anniversary Collection items after running through your supply). Finish this goal to receive 25 Travel Passes.
Manny's Journey 4
* Ask for 8 Filipino Postcards
* Serve 12 Cafe Bombon
* Serve 30 Osso Bucco
Osso Bucco takes 18 hours to prepare, giving you plenty of time to collect these Postcards from friends. As for the Cafe Bombon, this is a Specialty Coffee Drink that can only be served after you've hired Becky the Barista to work in your cafe. It costs 55 Energy for 10 Servings, so you'll need to prepare it twice in order to reach the total required number of 12 servings. You've almost reached the finale at this point, and finishing this particular goal gives you 30 Travel Passes.
Manny's Journey 5
* Ask for 12 Dirty Filipino Recipe Cards
* Serve 18 Acai Blueberry Juice
* Complete the Roasting Pit
Once again, the Acai Blueberry Juice must be served from a machine - this time the Drink Bar. It's not available until after you've hired Beverly Bartender. Once you finish this goal, you'll have finished off Manny's Journey, and will receive 500 Travel Passes. You'll also receive one of four new dishes, from a selection of Beef Mechado, Filipino Paella, Lechon and Sisig.
To be especially clear, completing this goal series the first time only gives you a single recipe, and it looks like you'll need to complete the entirety of these goals another three times to unlock the remaining three recipes. These goals (along with your chance to repeat the British goals) will expire in 10 days, so you'll want to make sure and complete as many goals as quickly as possible to stand the biggest chance of unlocking everything in time.
What do you think of these Manny's Journey goals? Do you think they're easier, or more difficult than Winston's Royals goals? Sound off in the comments.
As a note, we weren't told by Zynga whether or not these goals contain the same dishes for all users across the entire game, or if they vary as in past goal sets. If you notice any differences in your own game, this will likely be the cause.

Cafe World 2 Year Anniversary Winston's Royals Goals: Everything you need to know
I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, chefs (I really do), but it looks like there's a new goal series - actually, an entire event - now taking place in Cafe World celebrating the game's two year anniversary. Via this (apparently first?) goal series, you'll be helping Winston prepare a feast fit for a King, because you are indeed cooking for Royals (our anniversary celebration includes a vacation to Britain). There are new dishes up for grabs in these goals, and if you can finish them all within the next 18 days, you'll have the ability to repeat them to earn all of the dishes therein. Yes, that's right, two of your favorite things are present here - repeatable goals and a time limit. While I know that not all of you out there are opposed to such things, there are plenty more who are, so we'll try to help you through these goals at least once with our guide.
Winston's Royals 1
* Ask for 3 old British Recipe Cards
* Spice 6 of your own dishes
* Place the High Table Tea Party
First, the High Table Tea Party is a new building project that we'll have a guide for as soon as possible and you can check out our guide to building it right here. In the meantime, don't panic about the spice task; if you have any extra Salts or Peppers lying around, just use those. Meanwhile, as your friends for the Recipe Cards. Finishing this goal gives you five Travel Passes. These are a huge element of this event, as they'll give you a chance to win real-world prizes like trips "around the world," or in-game items like Stoves and Cafe Cash, and you'll have the ability to collect literally hundreds of them throughout the entirety of this event.
Winston's Royals 2
* Ask for 4 British Postcards
* Collect 2 Anniversary Collection Items
* Serve 10 French Onion Soups
French Onion Soup can be served after four hours. Meanwhile, the Anniversary Collection comes with five new items that you can earn by using spices on your dishes. Finishing this goal gives you 10 more Travel Passes.
Winston's Royals 3
* Ask for 6 Old British Recipe Cards
* Spice 10 Neighbor Dishes
* Serve 15 Angel Fruit Cakes
Angel Fruit Cake takes 8 hours to cook. Also, when visiting your neighbors, make sure to spice cooking dishes, and not just stoves. It's possible the latter would count, but there's always a chance that it won't. Better safe than sorry, no? Finish off this third goal and you'll earn - you guessed it - more Travel Passes, 15 to be exact.
Winston's Royals 4
* Ask for 7 British Postcards
* Serve 2 Dishes with the Pastry Station
* Serve 25 Gem Cakes
Here's where things get a bit complicated, as you'll have to worry about cooking dishes on your stoves and in the Pastry Station. If you've yet to build your Pastry Station, here's a complete guide to doing so. As for the Gem Cake, it takes 12 hours to prepare. Finish off this goal for 20 more Travel Passes.
Winston's Royals 5
* Ask for 10 Old British Recipe Cards
* Serve 18 Chocolate Creme Brulee
* Complete the High Tea Party Table
Chocolate Creme Brulee is a specialty coffee drink found in the Coffee Machine. You will need to have hired Becky the Barista in order to unlock it. For finishing off this last goal, you'll receive a whopping 500 Travel Passes along with a Mystery Prize in the form of a new recipe. This new recipe will most likely be Yorkshire Pudding, although there are three others that might appear in random order as you repeat the goal series. These are the Bangers and Mash, Shepherd's Pie and Salmon Mousse.
As we mentioned before, Winston's Royals looks to be just the first of many goal series available in this two-year anniversary event. While it's unclear whether or not the 18 days applies to just Winston's Royals, or to the entire event, we do know that we'll eventually travel to other countries and unlock other rewards. In the meantime, here's a complete checklist of the "British" tasks you can complete, which can be found in your own game at any time (click on the airline ticket in the right-side menu).
Good luck completing these goals and earning all of the rewards in time!
What do you think of the Winston's Royals goals and the two-year anniversary event as a whole? Sound off in the comments!
